Twilight Mania

I went and watched the new movie Twilight last night and it was amazing. The werewolves in the movie looked so scary and I have to say that there were many scenes of the character “Jacob” with his shirt off that made the women reactions in the audience quite humorous to hear. Twilight New Moon ,the movie was directed by a different person this time and I think that made a huge difference. Also, the movie broke box office records selling 72 million in one day and selling the most tickets ever recorded for the 12 am showing. Before the movie came out, many people were waiting in line for days to be one of the first to see the movie.This movie has left many people (mostly women) with an obsession of twilight books and movies. The books itself has sold over 70 million copies and the third movie is already in the process of being made. The Twilight frenzy still continues…

Britney Spears New Song “3″

So I heard Britney Spears new song about two weeks ago. I thought the beat was catchy and I was nodding my head singing 1,2,3 to myself… I started to listen to what the lyrics were saying and I totally suprised myself because the whole time I was nodding my head to the song just thinking it was another one of Britneys new dance song, the message is totally different. the songs lyrics talks about having threesomes. I dont understand how producers make these catchy beats and the lyrics behind them are so inappropiate towards younger teenagers. I mean I have a younger sister and I sure wouldnt want her to listen to this song. I don’t think singers these days really care to pollute the minds of our youth with such garbage just to make some money. The song makes it seem like threesomes is the new thing and its fun. Although Britney is older, her audience are still younger teenagers who listen to her music, I guess Money is more important than the message that she sends out to society…Here are the lyrics to her song!

Reality Show Chaos!

Jon and Kate plus eight has been an incredible hit on TLC, despite all the money and fame it’s obvious since the show has gotten an enormous amont of attention that the family has not been the same. What caught the audience attention about the family was pictured out to be “the american dream” two madily in love people with eight beautiful children. However, Jon and Kate have had a separted and havc had an on/off-going relationship this past year…the show was suspended on Sept. 29 and will not have  Jon Gosselin present. The show has definately brought turmoil among the married couple and Jon stated that the show is “damaging his children”. The show is now going to be called “Kate plus Eight”. 

Does Reality Shows bring the best out of a family or does the fame and greed just rip them apart? According to People, “Kate Singer  learned about a large withdrawal after recieving overdraft notices regarding her joint account with her estranged husband. When she inquired with the bank, she was told Jon had removed 200,000 , leaving only about 1,000 in the account”. I think in all the reality shows I have watched with couples on it , the relationship was just torn apart and let for whole world to see it. Fame and fortune always seem to dominate the relationship in reality shows.

Skinny Skinny Models

Everyday people are consistently influenced by the media, whether it is in a fashion magazine, a video on television, or a billboard. I  absolutely love looking at images in fashion magazines because I admire fashion. However, what disgusts me the most about these magazines is how unhealthy the women look in it. Fashion designers pay enormous amounts of money to supermodels to model their clothing, the problem is that there are not many people in the world who look like that. My question is why do models have to look like this just to sell a product? and when young girls look at these images of models what type of message is society sending to our youth? I have heard from a friend who used to do runway  modeling that there is a “red curtain” behind the scenes of runway shows that has a toilet so supermodels can vomit  in if they need to. It’s so sad that supermodels choose to make quick money and sell an unhealthy  image  for an unhealthy lifestyle.
